Then we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a full-time entry-level Machine Technician at our fast-paced plant inWeyauwega, WI.
Pay: $24.40-$26.00/hour
*12hr. Rotating Shifts: 5am-5pm, 5pm-5am*
Responsibilities
Your Role:
As a Machine Technician, you will be Responsible for safely operating one or more FL/SR extrusion lines to produce high-quality zipper and film products in compliance with customer specifications, safety protocols, and quality standards.
You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure personal and environmental safety.
  • Use appropriate PPE and communicate hazards to peers and supervisors.
  • Comply with BRCGS and GMP standards, reporting any food safety concerns immediately.
  • Set up, start, adjust, and shut down extrusion equipment and winding systems.
  • Perform material changeovers and assemble production components.
  • Adjust machine parameters (heat, water, tension, winder) to maintain quality.
  • Assist in R&D trials and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues.
  • Perform and document regular product quality checks using appropriate tools.
  • Read and follow specifications, input production data accurately in systems.
  • Collaborate with QA and rerun rejected products when necessary.
  • Conduct daily/weekly housekeeping and equipment cleaning.
  • Change screens, filters, and safely handle approved cleaning agents.
  • Support co-workers and cover for breaks as needed.
  • Train new operators as directed by leadership.

Requirements
We need you to have:
  • 2+ years of Machine Operating experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of extrusion processes.
  • Basic math and data entry skills; ability to interpret specs and measurements.
  • Visual attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors and defects.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; climb steps up 3 levels high, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
  • A strong desire, dedication, and determination to succeed, by continually improving skills through on-the-job training and various offered educational opportunities.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts, prioritize tasks, and work independently under pressure.
