Job description

The Machine Operator will be responsible for running various automated and manual packaging and assembly equipment. Will follow all policies and procedures related to efficient and compliant operation of the line. Ensure that productivity standards, deadlines and paperwork are complete.

Essential Functions

    Assist with job set-up, including minor equipment adjustment and product change-over as directed by the Production Supervisor.

    Communicate any quality, machine or employee issues including safety and GMP violations to direct production supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.

    Set up machinery for operation

    Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance5. Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions

    Troubleshoot issues and perform minor maintenance

    Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor

    Comply with all safety and health regulations

    Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area

    Maintain efficient operations by assisting line workers, monitoring material levels and machine operation

    Utilize employees effectively and efficiently by assisting with proper training, communicating job specific instructions and motivating the team to achieve required productivity.

    Accurately follow and implement all functions related to handheld computer system, including item tracking and traceability.

    Initiate finished goods pallet label printing and ensure they are associated to the correct product.

    Be a role model by establishing good work habits and ensuring the quality and timely completion of the work.

    Maintain safety of all employees on the production line.

    Enforce all floor rules, regulations, and GMPs.

    Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor

Qualifications/Requirements

    Prior experience working in a Manufacturing or Production environment

    1 - 3 years of experience as a machine operator

    Must have excellent math and reading skills
