Job Title: 2nd Shift - Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for adhering to operating procedures and instructions, loading materials into machines such as punch press and cookie cutter machinery, and performing machine setup, die changes, and changeovers with light computer work. You will also pull finished products off machines, stack them on pallets, wrap pallets, and prepare forklifts for transport. Your role will include adjusting machine settings to complete tasks per specifications, detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions, maintaining a clean and safe work station, and accurately recording labor and material usage in the ERP system. Some machines require working with fiberglass and insulation, and all necessary PPE will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to operating procedures and instructions.
  • Load materials into machines such as punch press and cookie cutter machinery.
  • Perform machine setup, die changes, and changeovers with light computer work.
  • Pull finished products off machines and stack them on pallets.
  • Wrap pallets and prepare forklifts for transport.
  • Adjust machine settings to complete tasks per specifications.
  • Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work station following the shop 5S system.
  • Accurately record labor and material usage in the ERP system.

Essential Skills

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.
