As we navigate a period of expansion and strategic initiatives, we are seeking a Machine Operator to join our team and contribute to the company's success.

Summary: 

The Machine Operator Floater is responsible for operating and supporting multiple production and packaging lines throughout the facility. This role provides coverage across departments as needed, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and food safety. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Operate various production, packaging, and processing machines
  • Set up, start, monitor, and shut down equipment safely
  • Fill in for absent machine operators or assist areas experiencing staffing shortages
  • Support line efficiency and help minimize downtime
  • Work with production, maintenance, quality, and sanitation teams as needed
  • Operate production line equipment without supervision
  • Assist with changeovers between products, packaging, or production runs.
  • Follow food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain a clean work area by sweeping, mopping floors and wiping down machinery as needed and at the end of shift
  • Monitor and report on food quality and safety issues
  • Complete production documentation and records accurately
  • Assist other departments as necessary and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • At least 1 year prior machine operation experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn multiple machines
  • Flexibility and adaptability to move between departments and shifts
  • Attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to follow safety and food manufacturing procedures
  •  Strong attendance and reliability
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • May be required to stoop and or climb as needed
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
