Job description

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 1st Shift
Training: 1 week, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–11:00 AM; primarily classroom-based
Position Overview

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Packaging Machine Operators (AHP) to support packaging and production operations in a regulated manufacturing environment in Columbus, Ohio. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with first-shift hours, Monday through Friday.

The Packaging Machine Operator will assist with operating packaging equipment, preparing materials, monitoring production processes, performing basic troubleshooting, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring products meet established quality and packaging specifications.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, standing for extended periods, handling materials, following detailed instructions, and working collaboratively with a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stage approved packaging materials, equipment, and supplies for production runs.
  • Assist with operating packaging machinery and production equipment.
  • Monitor equipment and production processes to identify issues or abnormalities.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting and follow established escalation procedures when additional maintenance support is required.
  • Assist the Packaging Machine Operator with equipment operation and mechanical issue escalation.
  • Repackage raw materials into finished products according to established packaging specifications.
  • Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with production room and equipment cleaning and sanitation.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the shift.
  • Follow all applicable cGMP requirements, safety regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
  • Complete required production documentation accurately.
  • Participate actively in packaging, compliance, safety, and other required training.
  • Communicate production and quality issues to management and supporting departments such as Quality.
  • Work collaboratively with the AHP operations team to achieve quality and production goals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
