What You Will Do
The Sanitation Operator will be responsible for disinfecting surfaces, sanitizing all components of our food production and processing equipment, and ensuring that there is no unnecessary waste along the assembly line.
How You Will Make an Impact
  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble machine parts, equipment, and other areas
  • Monitor and adjust chemical cleaning usage
  • Work with the QA department on Pre-Op inspections
  • Assist in driving training initiatives of sanitation procedures to production
  • Remove waste and debris
  • Responsible for assisting in weekly environmental program and master Sanitation program
  • Assist with startup, and shutdown of machinery and production line equipment
  • Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and SSOPs
  • Assure food safety standards with regards to GMPs and HACCP plan are being followed by self and fellow employees
  • Follow safety procedures with lock out tag out and exposure to hot equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Manually lift and transport unfinished product during production process
  • Required to work in a cold and wet environment w/temperatures of (approximately 40° F)
  • Required to work 12-hr. shifts on a rotating 7-day schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 year manufacturing experience preferred
  • Food manufacturing sanitation experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow procedures and accurately complete paperwork related to sanitation activities
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more, in addition to standing, walking, bending, and stooping throughout the 12-hr. shift schedule
  • Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Be willing and able to cross train on all sanitation responsibilities
