Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator who can efficiently read blueprints and tape measures up to 1/32nd of an inch on the floor and 1/16th during interviews. The role involves operating a band saw, performing quality inspections, and managing crane operations. The ideal candidate will set up machines to manufacture a high volume of parts to support assembly and operate a mold press machine. Reporting defective parts and performing quality checks are crucial responsibilities. Experience with lock out/tag out procedures and computer data entry is required.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Measure dimensions using a tape measure up to 1/32nd of an inch.
  • Operate a band saw and perform quality inspections.
  • Manage crane operations and overhead crane material movement.
  • Set up machines for high-volume part production.
  • Operate a mold press machine.
  • Report defective parts to the manager.
  • Perform quality checks and input information into computers.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and tape measures accurately.
  • Experience with crane operations and lock out/tag out procedures.
  • 1 year of heavy industrial machine experience or related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Experience with overhead crane operations is advantageous.
  • 2 years of brake press or heavy industrial machine operation experience preferred.

The environment is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with brand-new amenities. The work schedule includes shifts from 2pm-10:30pm with mandatory overtime and every other Saturday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $19.00/hr.
