Job description

Title: Controls Electrician

Department: Assembly

Reports to: Assembly Manager

Job summary: As a controls electrician for Alpha Integration, you will be working with controls engineers and mechanical assembly team members to construct and wire all customer electrical enclosures and complete all machine field wiring according to supplied electrical schematics. All wiring must be neat and uniform across all enclosures and machines, maintaining Alpha’s standard.

Who are we? Alpha Integration is a growing industrial automation company that was founded in 2002. We design, manufacture, and service custom machinery for a broad scope of industries including automotive, cosmetics, injection molding, medical, etc. We work closely with our customers to realize the vision they have for their processes to ensure they maximize productivity and profitability.

Pay: Depends on experience

Benefits: Employee health insurance, Employer matched 401k up to 6%, One week paid sick time per calendar year. Paid vacation and holidays.

Summary of essential job functions

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Electrician will need to provide their own tools including standard electrician tools, meters etc...
  • Assemble quality electrical panels and complete machine wiring using provided E-plan and Auto Cad prints.
  • Must understand general electrical practices that provide safe, dependable equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and assist engineering in problems that may arise during build.
  • Neatly wire machinery to electrical panel while using correct components.
  • Ability to modify prints accurately to ensure safety and quality are maintained.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Self-motivated personality and positive attitude is a must.
  • Ability to work with metric and standard prints.
  • Exercises considerable care of equipment, tools, parts, machines, and materials to prevent damage.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to travel to install equipment – travels can be within the states or overseas and can be for more than a week.

Skills Needed:

· Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics.

· Must understand electrical circuitry and safe practices.

· Must have at least 2yrs experience in the same or similar industry.

· Clear and professional communications.

· Understanding of machine safety and general guidelines.
