Job description

Job Title: CNC Machinist OperatorJob Description

As a CNC Machinist Operator, you will set up and operate CNC machining centers to perform various machining operations. You will utilize your knowledge of program and machine tool capabilities, cutting tool capabilities, and the machinability of materials to ensure precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machining centers.
  • Perform various machining operations.
  • Utilize knowledge of program and machine tool capabilities.
  • Understand cutting tool capabilities and the machinability of materials.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with CNC machining, troubleshooting, and mechanical operations.
  • Ability to operate machinery efficiently.
  • Read blueprints and schematics.
  • Install cutting tools and load programmed information into the machine center.
  • Between 2 to 4 years of work experience or completion of an apprenticeship.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in an apprenticeship program.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a 1st Shift schedule from Monday through Friday, 6:45am-3:30pm. Be prepared for high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, exposure to fumes, dust, mist, and skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid. Safety equipment and protocols are provided to ensure a secure working atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
