About The Opportunity

Assistant Operator is responsible for assisting with and/or operating machinery to cut out parts of specified size and shape from corrugated board and properly offloading and inspecting finished material.

Pay Rate:$24-30/hr depending on department

Work Hours:Day & Night Shift Available

6AM-6PM OR 6PM-6AM

3-2-2-3 Schedule

Entry Level Welcome! Willing to Train!

Essential Functions:

  • Operatemachine to cut out parts of specified size and shape from corrugated board.

  • Review andunderstand job ticket information todeterminequantity, special instructions, and customer requirements

  • Stack off finished bundles and feed sheets into the machine

  • Prepare paperwork and bottom slip sheets for each other

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Repair orassistmaintenance in the repair of machines as necessary

  • Fill informachine operators during their absence

  • Check finished products for quality per customer specifications

  • Activelyparticipatein Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuousimprovementefforts

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform all dutiesin accordance withcompany safety policies and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Additional Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:

  • Safety-sensitive position: ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel and bend over for long periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly if necessary

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs

  • Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed

  • Ability to effectively work in teams
