Job description

As a Machine Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in helping us produce high-quality printed packaging. This position provides assistance to the operator and is responsible for preparing the machine to run and for the finishing product.

Pay: $25/hr. 

What You Will Do 

  • Ability to be flexible in daily work assignment and work rotating 12-hour shifts (6a-6p and 6p-6a) that includes days, nights, weekends, and some holidays. 
  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
  • Responsible for supporting the production of quality products while maintaining production performance.
  • Constantly monitor quality and waste for all orders being produced
  • Continually learn the responsibilities of the various positions to advance in the line of progression
  • Assist the Machine Operator with setting up and maintaining production equipment and troubleshooting
  • Ensure the correct material is available to run and follow all quality check requirements
  • Operating a stand-up forklift to move product and waste
  • General housekeeping and cleaning

What You Have to Offer

  • This job is in a manufacturing environment working on and around heavy machinery with high-speed rotating parts; continuous strobe lights may be present.
  • Must have the ability to operate industrial power vehicles.
  • Must be detail oriented and a team-focused attitude
  • Must be comfortable with computers
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle a wide variety of responsibilities in a timely manner
  • Must be able to distinguish colors, lift up to 50 pounds and work around solvents
  • Ability to pass pre-employment testing requirements.
  • Previous experience with industrial vehicles is a plus
  • Basic mechanical and math skills
