About Furnace:


Furnace Record Pressing is a full-service vinyl pressing plant based in Alexandria,

VA. We make vinyl records for major labels and indies, musicians, and all who care

about quality and craft. Weโ€™ve been doing this for over 25 years and are dedicated

to continuing to drive the industry by bringing only the best vinyl records to

market.


Our clients include the biggest bands in the world and independent labels and

bands putting out their first record. Yes, this is a cool place to work, but we also

work very hard and care deeply about the final product.


We practice Lean Manufacturing in the office and on the manufacturing floor. This

means a lot of things but part of it is saving time every day through continual

improvement of processes and ourselves.


Warehouse Technician
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and order of our warehouse facility. This position requires the ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently around heavy mechanical equipment.


Responsibilities:

Daily:

  • Remove recycling and trash from workstations and departments throughout the warehouse.
  • Operate a baler to condense recycling safely and effectively.
  • Dispose of waste materials in designated receptacles (dumpsters, baler).
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen area, including surfaces, restocking supplies, and cleaning the coffee maker twice daily.
  • Clean floors using a Zamboni machine.
  • Assist with straightening pallet and crate stacks in designated areas (123, sleeving, assembly/finishing).
  • Assist in moving recyclable regrind material into area 123.

Weekly:

  • Clean presses (training provided on specific surfaces).
  • Maintain cleanliness of presses, including removal of dust and excess grease.
  • Clean the Q/C lab, press room office, and bunker (training provided on handling sensitive equipment).
  • Sweep and wipe down finishing equipment.
  • Collect and launder rags from the press room.

As Needed:

  • Sweep outdoor areas, including steps outside the front door, warehouse door, and vault, and around the dumpster.
  • Sweep the upstairs area of the vault.
  • Organize pallets of recycling and bales in area 123 for vendor pickup.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated to complete tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly around sensitive equipment.
  • Ability to work safely around heavy mechanical equipment.
  • Basic English proficiency (written and verbal).
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.


The Position is for Full-Time, Monday-Thursday 6:30AM-5:00PM.
