Grant Thornton is seeking a contract macOS Desktop Engineer to support the buildout and expansion of our enterprise macOS environment.

This role is critical in helping us offer macOS as a supported platform alongside Windows by October 1st.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with macOS administration, Microsoft Intune, and scripting for automation and compliance.

Provide Tier 2/3 support for macOS devices, escalating when necessary.

Administer macOS devices using Microsoft Intune, including:

Configuration profiles

Compliance policies

Application deployment

Custom scripting (Bash, PowerShell)

Develop and implement macOS onboarding workflows using Apple Business Manager and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE).

Collaborate closely with the Workstation Management and Helpdesk teams to ensure seamless deployment and support.

Create and maintain technical documentation for macOS support, deployment, and configuration.

Assist with end-user support when escalated from the Helpdesk. Assist with training Helpdesk and field technicians in Support Services team.

3+ years of experience supporting macOS in an enterprise environment.

Hands-on experience managing macOS devices with Microsoft Intune.

Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting for macOS automation.

Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and MDM enrollment workflows.

Strong understanding of macOS system architecture, security, and user management.

Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Experience with Azure AD and conditional access policies.

Familiarity with enterprise software deployment and patching strategies.

Ability to create user-facing and internal documentation.
