Job description

Job Summary:
NVR, Inc. is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician (Tier 1 Support) to work on site in Reston, VA. In this position, you will provide Tier 1 support for our Microsoft Windows operating systems, Dell/Lenovo hardware, and cloud-based solutions with exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional first-level technical support to NVR team members through the Help Desk
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with Windows OS, Office, custom applications, and Dell/Lenovo hardware in a timely manner
• Manage ticket workflows by identifying, prioritizing, and escalating support requests from calls and Jira queues
• Monitor the network proactively to resolve issues and meet SLA targets
• Support the IT Services team with hardware and software deployments and upgrades
• Collaborate on IT initiatives that improve the end-user experience
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2+ years in technical support, IT help desk or similar technical roles
• Experience with a Help Desk technical support team
• Hardware experience with Dell and Lenovo
• Experience installing and supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems, Office 2016+ programs
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
Preferred:
• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field
• Microsoft Certification
