Job description

Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Technical Manager to lead the design and development of our next-generation Intelligent Lighting Systems. In this role, you will lead cross-disciplinary teams to deliver new systems, products and features overseeing the seamless integration of sensing technologies, wireless protocols, and cloud-connected control software to deliver lighting solutions that are responsive, energy-efficient, and secure. We believe strongly that our products need to be more than just connected but provide precise, reliable, and responsive performance in real-world environments at scale.
Responsibilities
  • Engineering Leadership & Execution: Manage a cross-functional team of embedded firmware, software, and systems engineers to deliver high-performance intelligent lighting solutions.
  • Technical Leadership: Direct the end-to-end development of cyber-physical systems, ensuring hardware and software components are optimized for performance and reliability.
  • Team Mentorship: Lead and grow a team of engineers fostering a culture of technical excellence and customer-centricity and quality.
  • Strategic Vision: Stay ahead of industry trends in IoT, smart building standards and relevant technologies to ensure our intelligent lighting products remain market leading.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred. Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the development of customer-facing software systems, with a proven track record of shipping hardware-software integrated products. Minimum of 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Leadership: Prior experience managing engineering teams, with the ability to balance technical debt, innovation, and strict hardware release deadlines.
  • Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of software development methodologies and relevant development technologies.
