Lighting Control Design Engineer & Programmer - Lutron
Department: Engineering
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: New York, NY (Sage AV)
Reporting To: Jorge, Director of Operations
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 / year
Description
You Are:
  • An engineer who has specialized in luxury residential lighting for many years. You are good with people and feel comfortable collaborating with a sales team along with direct client interaction. You love technology and are passionate about the creation of systems that enhance the lives of clients and enjoy working with a team to deliver on that goal.

You Have:
  • Experience with Design, Layout, and proposal creation for lighting control systems using tools such as CAD & Revit (Ideally), and deep knowledge of Lighting systems (Lutron) and fixture design/schedule. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, Hiqh EQ.

Your Location:
  • This position is FULLY REMOTE if Outside the Tri-State area
  • Already US Based (No Visa Sponsorship)

Your Schedule:
  • Full Time (40hrs/Wk): Mon-Fri from 8:30am to 4:30pm

Your Contribution to Sage AV:
  • Review architectural, lighting, and electrical plans
  • Mark up plans and direct CAD teams in the creation of construction documentation
  • Develop load schedules, panel schedules, keypad schedules, risers, and control narratives
  • Review and approve drawing packages prior to construction
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards across all lighting projects
  • Support field teams during installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
  • Assist with fixture selection, compatibility review, and control strategies.
  • Develop and review project submittals
  • Program Lutron Lighting Systems (Homeworks QSX, RadioRa3)

Your Ideal Knowledge/Experience:
REQUIRED:
  • Lutron HomeWorks Certification
  • 5+ years of luxury residential lighting control experience
  • Experience creating lighting control documentation and submittals
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues remotely

PREFERRED:
  • Experience with Ketra lighting systems
  • Advanced HomeWorks programming experience
  • Experience creating lighting control documentation and submittals
  • Ability to visit project sites within the New York metropolitan area periodically
