Freight Operations Supervisor | Logistics amp; Transportation
Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Salary: $70,000-$75,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead daily transportation and dock operations, supervise employees, and help ensure safe, efficient freight movement throughout our LTL network.

What You'll Do

As our Operations Supervisor, you'll oversee daily freight and transportation operations while ensuring productivity, safety, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise inbound, outbound, city, and dock freight operations
  • Monitor productivity, freight volume, labor costs, and payroll
  • Schedule hourly employees to meet daily operational demands
  • Ensure compliance with company policies along with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and Hazardous Materials regulations
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop warehouse and transportation employees
  • Promote a culture focused on safety, teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Build and print freight manifests for outbound shipments
  • Enter dispatch information and maintain transportation records
  • Maintain tracking spreadsheets and operational reports
  • Assist with general administrative support
Qualifications​:
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
  • Previous experience in LTL freight transportation
  • Dispatch, dock operations, or terminal management experience
  • Strong administrative and problem-solving abilities
  • Positive attitude with the ability to motivate and develop employees

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally over 75 pounds
  • Stand and walk for extended periods on a busy loading dock
  • Bend, reach, climb, squat, kneel, push, pull, and twist throughout the workday
  • Work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and loading dock environment, including outdoor conditions when necessary
