Job description

Piconics, Inc, a microelectronic inductor manufacturer, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Operations Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the Customer Service, Manufacturing and Quality Departments with the goal of smoothly guiding purchase orders from acceptance to shipment. This role reports to the Vice President of the Company.


Location: On-Site (Tyngsboro, MA)                                 Salary: $110,000 to $140,000


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the Customer Service, Manufacturing and Quality Department Managers by fostering growth and collaboration amongst the team.
  • Ensure each department is running efficiently by working with Managers to resolve bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
  • Formulating and implementing policies to achieve company goals by working with stakeholders within the departments.
  • Work with department Managers to identify staffing needs and oversee the hiring process with the various temp agencies.
  • Assist managers with employee issues.
  • Interface with customers to resolve order, quality and delivery issues.
  • Provide feedback to Senior Management on issues and ways to improve processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships and supply chain logistics to ensure on time delivery of materials.
  • Occasional Saturdays from 6am to noon are required.
  • Perform other operations related duties as directed by Senior Management.


Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Manufacturing Operations Management, Production Management, Quality Management or similar leadership role.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in the Manufacturing Industry.
  • Experience working in a small company (less than 100 employees)
  • Strong team building and communications skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Be well organized, possess the ability to multitask, and be able to work with minimal supervision and from verbal instructions.
  • Proficient with ISO 9001 and Military Specification standards.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
  • B.S degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field.
