Job Summary
The Operations Manager of LTL Brokerage Services will be responsible for sales, pricing, and operational development for the LTL portion of the Watco Supply Chain Services portfolio. It will be critical for this leader to develop a team that both sells and operates services that create value for our customers, are complementary to existing Watco competencies, and offer above average revenue and profit growth rates. The Operations Manager position represents a leadership role within the Company.This position will have competitive salary with bonus opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Leadership and Supervision Responsibilities include training, scheduling, and managing through positive and negative turnover situations
• Ensure team performance to help support annual goals and objectives
• Help set the tone of the department to ensure service focus, morale, teamwork, and a positive culture
• Provide support to team members to help the growth and development of the branch
• Help manage operations and ensure operating procedures and protocols are followed
• Maintain customer, carrier, shipper, and team member professional relationships with consistent, effective, and prompt communication
• Create value for existing and new customers based on finding appropriate and creative solutions to transportation needs
Qualifications
• Transportation or supply chain related experience preferred
• Business development, personal training, sales knowledge, highway service knowledge, and operations experience preferred
• Use basic computer skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, 10 Key, and Data Entry
• Registry Monitoring Insurance Services (RMIS) skills recommended
• Transportation Management System (TMS) skills recommended
