Registered Nurse – Telemetry (LTA Assignment)
Location: Barberton Campus – 2 East (2E), Akron/Barberton, Ohio
Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Contract Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Duration: 06/14/2026 – 09/12/2026
 

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse to join the acute care team at Barberton Campus, part of Summa Health. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to telemetry/PCU patients in a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring continuous cardiac monitoring and clinical excellence.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to telemetry/PCU patients
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  • Administer medications and treatments per hospital protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation
  • Float to similar units as required by facility needs
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and hospital compliance standards
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Ohio or compact eligible)
  • Minimum 2+ years recent PCU/Telemetry experience
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
  • Current certifications required:
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
  • Strong cardiac monitoring and critical thinking skills
