LSU Eunice seeks a safety conscious and enthusiastic individual to join our security team as an on-campus Security Guard.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

20% - Issue citations for traffic and parking violations; direct traffic within an assigned area

20% - Ensure campus security/ locking of all buildings and University property during and after business hours

20% - Provide a visual presence on campus grounds by conducting regular patrols on foot or security vehicle

10% - Complete security statements and shift reports before the end of each shift

5% - Make off campus trips for University business as assigned

5% - Maintain filing system of vehicle registrations, security incident reports, shift reports, etc.

5% - Render first aid and other assistance as needed

5% - Other duties as assigned

Salary: $12.00/hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

No experience or training is required.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have attained eighteenth birthday at time of appointment.
  • Required to possess a valid Louisiana driver's license at time of appointment.
  • An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.

LSUE SPECIAL/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is subject to shift variation and is designated as essential under LSUE Policy Statement No. 72 so may be required to report to or remain at work during times of emergency closure or reduced operations.
  • This position is considered a safety/ security-sensitive position under LSUE Policy Statement No. 70 and may be subject to random drug testing.
