Location:         Moline, IL 61265
Duration:         16 Months – Possible Extension
Schedule:         Monday–Tuesday: Start at 6:30 AM for team payroll processing

Wednesday–Friday: Flexible start time

Job Overview

The Accounting Associate III will support weekly payroll processing, accounting activities, data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to independently resolve complex payroll issues while handling confidential employee information.

Major Purpose

  • Perform complex clerical accounting activities involving: Calculations, Data analysis, Reconciliations, Verifications, Accounting postings
  • Ensure accuracy and validity of accounting and payroll processes.
  • Work with limited supervision/direction.

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Process and analyze weekly: Employee time, Earnings, Deductions, Withholdings
  • Calculate accurate net pay while ensuring compliance with: Union contracts, HR policies, Unit policies
  • Independently analyze and resolve complex payroll issues.
  • Respond to employee questions regarding pay and payroll processes.
  • Provide payroll-related training and guidance.
  • Handle confidential employee and payroll information appropriately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate reports by collecting data from multiple sources.
  • Use data management systems to retrieve required information.
  • Monitor and analyze financial/payroll data using established systems.
  • Extract, combine, and summarize data to generate reports.
  • Prepare moderately complex documents using standard office software.
  • Create and maintain document management systems.
  • Gather and summarize information for financial and operational reports.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and codes of conduct.
