CNA Lab Nursing Instructor (LPN/RN)Location: Warsaw, IN
Classification: Contractor
Schedule: Varies (135 hours per cohort)Pay Range:
  • LPN: $27.00 – $31.00 per hour
  • RN: $31.00 – $38.00 per hour (preferred)
    Position Summary:The CNA Lab Nursing Instructor serves as an educator for both staff at Cardinal Services and students pursuing entry-level nursing support through Indiana’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.This role includes teaching classes, conducting lab sessions, and delivering training programs that enhance care quality for the individuals we serve. The Nursing Instructor works under the direction of the Senior Director in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor, exercising professional judgment and problem-solving skills while following agency policies and professional standards.Key Responsibilities
    • Provide educational leadership and training to staff, clients, and caregivers
    • Deliver and execute Indiana’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program in compliance with state standards
    • Conduct labs, training sessions, and skill development programs
    • Implement evidence-based practices and curricula
    • Complete all required CNA program documentation and reporting
    • Provide in-service training for staff, clients, and family members
    • Educate on new medical equipment, supplies, and procedures
    • Collaborate with clinics, care staff, and department directors
    • Support individualized training based on organizational needs
    • Contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of nursing care
    • Maintain compliance with HR and EEO/AA policies
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • At least 18 years of age
    • Active Indiana LPN or RN license
    • 1 year of experience in ID/DD or long-term care nursing preferred
    • Previous nurse instructor experience preferred
    • Indiana CNA Instructor Certification (required or must obtain within 60 days of hire)
    • Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and education theory
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
    • Ability to pass criminal and registry background checks
    • CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and required agency training (or ability to obtain)
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs when assisting clients
    • Maintain required liability insurance
    Working Conditions
    • May work in multiple locations
    • Moderate supervision in both independent and team settings
    • Frequent multitasking, sometimes under time pressure
    • Occasional evenings, weekends, or extended hours
    • Physical demands include lifting up to 75 lbs
