Job description

Strategy and Business Development at Lovevery is responsible for managing the annual strategic planning process, evaluating and developing new opportunities at Lovevery, from initial prioritization and evaluation through to concepting, modeling and staffing, and driving strong internal and external communication of Lovevery's strategy.
Lovevery is looking for a Manager, Strategy and Business Development to help drive definition, execution and communication of our strategic priorities. In addition, a Manager is responsible for owning key initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring that the initiative hits specific milestones and KPIs. An example initiative is a new product launch in an adjacent category.
This is a cross-functional role that will require outstanding strategic thinking, strong data analytics, financial acumen, and excellent communication skills. The Manager, Strategy and Business Development will collaborate internally with everyone from product, content, finance, product marketing, technology, operations and PR as well as across respective external stakeholders. The Manager will have the opportunity to present at Board of Directors' meetings. This role reports into Lovevery's VP, Strategy and Business Development and will work directly with Lovevery's cofounders. Accountabilities:
  • Help manage the annual strategic planning process to align on strategic objectives and key strategic initiatives
  • Drive accountability across strategic initiatives and contribute to revenue-generating business by concepting, vetting, modeling, and executing on both internal and external opportunities
  • Communicate the strategy through external presentations to investors and board materials as well as help to drive internal alignment and accountability through internal presentations (monthly roadmap meetings, OKR presentations)
  • Serve as primary owner of key growth initiatives, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders and ensuring that the initiative hits specific milestones and KPIs.

Qualifications & attributes:
  • You have a BA or BS undergraduate degree with a proven track record of high academic achievement at top tier college; an MBA is optional
  • 3 - 5 years of experience at a top management consulting firm (Bain, BCG, McKinsey), investment bank or experience in strategic planning and business development, especially within consumer-facing industries
  • Experience consistently meeting or exceeding goals
  • Intellectually curious with strong pulse on consumer landscape and macro environment
  • Confident and eloquent written and oral communicator who has experience working with senior leaders and external stakeholders
  • Strong Microsoft excel and powerpoint skills, google suite
  • Curiosity and investment in learning about AI and driving AI implementation across the organization
  • Someone who values a culture that assumes positive intent, embraces failure, evolves with purpose, provides context and demonstrates vulnerability
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, is flexible and able to balance a number of priorities, has high energy to get work done
