Loss Draft Processor I

Full time; Non-Exempt; 37.5 hours/week; overtime as required.

Location; Lake Zurich, IL, US

Department: Escrow-Insurance

Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. (“Dovenmuehle”) is the leading mortgage subservicing firm in the United States with several hundred financial institution clients nationwide.

General Description:


Monitor properties with insurance claims for mortgagors and mortgage disposition department. Monitor funds in restricted escrow.


Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Sort daily mail received.
  • Sort checks received.
  • Prepare checks to be mailed.
  • Check in loss draft documents and checks received.
  • Send overnight checks for Insurance Department
  • Mail out Loss Draft checks with letters
  • Review the “open tasks” monthly and send letters.
  • Needs to make decisions within the client guidelines accurately, efficiently, and very professionally.
  • To work 95% of the time without assistance from supervisor
  • Successfully complete the annual regulatory compliance testing.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Department Specific/Additional Duties:

  • Work with our Loss Draft Application and other systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • Good verbal communication skills; organizational skills
  • High School Diploma

Preferred/Other Qualifications:

  • Loss draft, insurance, some data entry processing
  • PC Skill

The employee must be comfortable in either an on-site office setting, or a quiet, designated work from home space that is free from distractions and noise.
