Warehouse Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, logistics coordination, and warehouse personnel. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials to support production schedules while maintaining inventory accuracy, safety compliance, and on-time customer deliveries.

The Warehouse Manager provides hands-on leadership within a manufacturing environment, driving continuous improvement initiatives, developing team members, and implementing best practices to optimize warehouse performance and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties:

- Lead and supervise all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material storage, and material movement.

- Manage daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient support of production schedules and customer delivery requirements.

- Develop, train, coach, and evaluate warehouse personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.

- Establish warehouse priorities and allocate resources to meet operational objectives.

- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and shipment of materials and finished goods.

- Oversee inventory management processes, including cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation activities, and inventory accuracy initiatives.

- Monitor and improve warehouse key performance indicators (KPIs) including inventory accuracy, shipping performance, productivity, and safety metrics.

- Coordinate domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and customer requirements.

- Manage warehouse space utilization and material flow to maximize efficiency.

- Ensure materials are properly kitted and delivered to production areas to support manufacturing schedules.

- Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to resolve material shortages and delivery challenges.

- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve inventory accuracy.

- Maintain accurate inventory transactions and documentation within the ERP system.

- Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and operated safely.

- Develop and enforce warehouse procedures, work instructions, and safety standards.

- Support audits and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

- Prepare reports and analyze warehouse performance data to support decision-making.

- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

What you need to be successful:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Valid driver’s license

- 5+ years of experience in Warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment.

- 3+ years of forklift operating experience

- 2+ years of supervisory experience.

- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs regularly

- Experience with inventory control and shipping/receiving processes

- Basic computer skills with experience entering data into systems

Preferred Qualifications:

- Forklift certification

- Experience with ERP or inventory management software

- Strong woodworking skills (crate and pallet building)
