Planner (Warehouse Operations & Logistics)

Pay: Competitive Pay Based on Experience
Schedule: Full-Time (9AM to 5:30PM
Location: On-Site

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planner to support warehouse operations and ensure orders are processed efficiently, accurately, and on time. This role serves as a critical link between Operations, Inventory, and Client Services, helping maintain workflow efficiency and ensuring customer service expectations are consistently met.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, SAP, and advanced Excel reporting. This position thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment where problem-solving, communication, and process improvement are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities to support efficient order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Monitor wave planning and order flow to ensure customer SLA requirements are achieved.
  • Adjust work priorities and wave schedules to meet changing business demands.
  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact order completion, shipping timelines, or customer commitments.
  • Escalate operational, system, inventory, and equipment issues when necessary.
  • Work closely with warehouse leadership to ensure inventory is accurately allocated for outbound orders.
  • Monitor inventory availability and support order fulfillment planning.
  • Partner with Operations, Inventory Control, and Client Services teams to resolve non-workable orders and inventory discrepancies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues involving orders, materials, and warehouse systems.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and implement solutions before they impact productivity.
  • Analyze workflow performance and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and service levels.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and system data.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in logistics, warehouse planning, inventory control, production planning, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in contract logistics, third-party logistics (3PL), distribution, or fulfillment operations.
  • Experience supporting wave planning, inventory allocation, and order management processes.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics workflows.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, push, pull, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to sit and perform computer and data-entry tasks for extended periods.
