Construction Safety Manager

???? Location: Fort Wayne, IN

???? Duration: 8 Weeks (Start: 7/27)

???? Type: 1099 Contractor


Compensation & Schedule

???? Pay Rate: $52/hr

???? Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

???? Completion Bonus: $150/month

???? Pay Frequency: Weekly

โฐ Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

???? 60 Hours Per Week

Required Qualifications

โœ” One of the following is required:

  • OSHA 500 Certification and 6+ years of construction safety experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety (or related field) and 3+ years of construction safety experience
  • CSP, CHST, or STSC Certification and 5+ years of construction safety experience

Preferred Qualifications

โญ Conveyor installation experience

โญ Material handling equipment installation experience

โญ Distribution center or warehouse construction experience

โญ Mechanical construction experience

โญ Amazon or large logistics facility experience


What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee daily safety activities for conveyor installation operations
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements
  • Support installation activities involving conveyor systems and material handling equipment
  • Monitor elevated work, equipment installation, and mechanical assembly operations
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation
  • Deliver safety orientations and field safety coaching
  • Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records
  • Partner with project supervision to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project
