Job Summary:

The Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for the role of Associate Program Manager. In this pivotal role, you will provide logistical and administrative support for the creation, coordination, and execution of programs involving both internal and external activities. Your work will focus on building and supporting community events and involvement, requiring a combination of organizational expertise, communication skills, and the ability to build relationships within diverse communities.
This is a hybrid remote role, offering flexibility in work location. Some responsibilities will be completed remotely from home, while others will require your presence at the MVA office located at 1903 Meharry Blvd., Nashville, TN. Additionally, certain activities will take place at community events throughout the region, providing a dynamic and varied work environment.
Key Duties/Tasks:
Coordinate and schedule complex meetings, events, and activities for MVA programs.
Provide logistical support to ensure seamless execution of programs and events.
Collaborate with internal teams at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) and Meharry College, as well as external community partners.
Assist with program planning and ensure alignment with organizational goals and community needs.
Serve as a key point of contact for program participants, partners, and stakeholders.
Work flexibly across remote work, office-based administrative tasks, and community-focused engagement activities.

The Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) is a strategic partnership between Meharry Medical College (MMC) and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) focused on advancing collaborative efforts to address health disparities using a community-engaged framework. It integrates community voice into its activities by intentionally engaging patients, community leaders, advocacy groups, and local organizations in the design, implementation, and evaluation of its programs. Through community advisory boards, listening sessions, and partnerships with trusted organizations, the MVA ensures that the priorities of the communities served by MMC and VUMC shape research agendas, clinical initiatives, and education efforts. Community members contribute perspectives on barriers to care, culturally appropriate strategies, and emerging health needs, which help guide collaborative projects and promote improved health outcomes for all.
