Planning Manager
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Planning Manager for Pilgrim's that plans and manages production schedules to meet order fill rate and on-time delivery metrics based on sales forecasts, customer demands, and production lead-times. This person will be the main contact point for our plant teams and oversee 1 direct report.
Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and direct production planning meetings, track operational performance to schedules, and coordinate necessary adjustments.
  • Manage 1 direct report, lead communication/point of contact for plant team sand oversee daily functions of the team, delegation to team as needed
  • Optimize inventory levels and working capital while supporting targeted customer service levels.
  • Coordinate production requirements with Procurement and Operations to ensure adequate inventory of raw materials, packaging, and ingredient components.
  • Work closely with Operations to understand and support their needs in order to facilitate high schedule adherence.
  • Take part in the logistics planning and contracting of raw materials and finished products.
  • Collaborate with internal supply chain teams.
  • Manage and maintain OFR indicators for Prepared Food's customers.
  • Production reporting in SAP and SAP IBP
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, computer science or related field is strongly preferred.
  • 3-6 years of related experience in production planning or supply chain related job is strongly preferred.
  • Management experience required
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to view the supply chain as a series of linked processes.
  • Have a solid understanding of electronic business systems.
  • Maintains exceptional analytical, math and problem-solving skills
  • Must have strong organizational skills and acute attention to details.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed.
  • Must have a track record of successful implementation.
  • Knowledge of SAP, SAP IBP or other software related to production planning is preferred.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Base salary range of $85,000-$95,000
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
