Position Title: Financial Planning Manager - Ecommerce Logistics & Transform
Position Location: 6501 Legacy Drive, Suite B100, Plano, TX 75024
Telecommuting is permitted.
Salary: $138,070 per year
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (CT)
Responsibilities
  • As part of the company's Digital and Ecommerce transformation initiatives, collaborate with and provide in depth data driven financial analysis to the Transportation, Planning and Allocation, and Ecommerce Operations teams.
  • Complete an annual operating budget to be reviewed by digital strategy, FP&A and supply chain leadership.
  • Manage financial forecasts and actual results of Ecommerce Delivery expenses.
  • Provide perspective on what key performance indicators would have the most meaningful impact to the business and support operations partners in delivering an efficient balance between cost and service.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Finance team with a strategic view and forecasts of merchandise volume flows, including inbound volume to Stores and Distribution Centers as well as outbound Ecommerce volume.
  • Partner with cross functional areas of the company to assess, analyze, and deploy transformation initiatives.
  • Establish comprehensive financial and performance metric reporting that gives a clear picture to the business on current and near-term performance.
  • Conduct reviews of performance reports and dashboards to ensure they continue to meet the needs of the business and provide suggestions for changes that could add value.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the FP&A function and a capability to develop fact based operationally actionable analysis.
  • Create and maintain SQL code used to query Oracle Databases to gather sales and unit transaction information as well as Accounts Payable and carrier invoice data for Ecom reporting. Communicate results with Ecommerce Planning and Allocation teams.
  • Create and maintain MS Access Database using admin privileges to update database tables, update queries, and refresh Shipping and Handling reporting including expense, units shipped, order profitability, and other metrics.
  • Create and maintain Dashboards for Truck and Small Parcel shipping and handling.
  • Audit Carrier invoice data for completeness and accuracy. Research and identify discrepancies, and initiate remediation activity. Where necessary update internal controls to prevent future erroneous invoices from being approved for payment.
  • Complete adhoc analyses for contract updates or service model changes to assess impact to Customer experience or company P&L.
  • Establish new metrics with which to evaluate business performance and improve expense forecast accuracy including merchandise assortment mix, order size, shipping and handling surcharge promotions, units per package, cost per package, zone, package weight, and other inventory attributes.
  • Manage accounting operations for $250M of Ecom shipping and handling expense conforming with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) including review of invoicing, preparing and ensuring accuracy of month end accruals, and implementing internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Prepare presentations for various audiences (associate level to Executive level) that review shipping and handling performance, highlight wins and losses, and provide variance analyses and commentary.
  • Partner with outside consultants and the Procurement organization to provide data for contract renewals.

Qualifications
Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration or closely related field.
Experience requirements: 3 years of experience in financial analysis and logistics or supply chain related occupations.
License/Certification requirements: CLTD certification (Certified Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution)
Special Skills or Other Requirements: Must have experience with each of the following:
1. MS Excel to build dashboards and perform adhod analyses.
2. SQL and Python programming languages to select and reformat data.
3. MS Access including creating and managing a database (create and update tables, write queries, etc.).
4. Data Analyses including interpretation of complex data sets and identifying relationships from disparate data sources.
