We are looking for a Zone Logistics Manager to join our Rexel team in Houston, TX!
Summary:
The MMOM (Major Market Operating Model) Zone Logistics Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse and logistics operations across multiple locations. This role provides zone-level leadership to local site warehouse managers and is accountable for driving standardized, safe, and efficient execution of all inbound and outbound logistics processes across multiple branch locations. The Zone Logistics Manager ensures alignment with Rexel standards in warehouse operations, safety compliance, receiving, put-away, inventory handling, picking, packing, shipping, and delivery readiness. This position partners closely with commercial and branch leadership to ensure logistics execution supports customer commitments, ISOTIF performance, and profitable growth. A Major Market is defined as major metropolitan area consisting of 3+ branches, $200M+ in revenue, and in one of the top 10 largest cities in the U.S.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead warehouse and logistics operations across all zone locations
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to local site warehouse managers
  • Establish consistent expectations, daily operating disciplines, and performance standards across the zone
  • Ensure all locations operate under a unified logistics model aligned with Rexel standards
  • Serve as the zone subject matter leader for warehouse execution, logistics workflow, and safety compliance
  • Design, implement, and enforce standardized processes for inbound and outbound logistics across all branches
  • Standardize receiving, inspection, put-away, labeling, staging, picking, packing, shipping, and transfer processes
  • Drive consistency in system transactions, work methods, visual controls, and warehouse organization
  • Audit location-level execution to ensure compliance with zone and company standards
  • Identify process gaps and lead corrective action and continuous improvement efforts
  • Oversee inbound freight flow, receiving quality, unloading practices, material verification, and system receipt accuracy
  • Ensure material is received, labeled, and put away accurately and efficiently
  • Partner with vendors, branch teams, and internal stakeholders to improve inbound visibility and readiness
  • Reduce receiving errors, put-away delays, and material handling inefficiencies
  • Oversee all outbound warehouse activity including picking, packing, staging, loading, and shipping
  • Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately, safely, and on time to support customer requirements and ISOTIF goals
  • Improve outbound process flow, reduce shipping errors, and increase labor efficiency
  • Coordinate with inside sales, branch leadership, and expediting teams to prioritize urgent and customer-critical orders
  • Lead zone-wide warehouse safety and compliance programs, adhere to Rexel safety standards, audits/inspections, corrective actions and regulatory adherence to ensure safe operations across multiple sites
  • Train and coach warehouse teams on equipment use, material handling, housekeeping and hazard prevention while building a strong safety culture through meetings, incident reviews and accountability
  • Establish and monitor key logistics KPIs including on-time shipment performance, inventory accuracy, receiving accuracy, productivity, freight cost, and safety incident rate
  • Use metrics, audits, and observation to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve service, reduce cost, and increase standardization
  • Partner with the Commercial Zone Manager on staffing, capital needs, layout improvements, and operational planning
  • Provide direct or indirect leadership to site warehouse managers, warehouse supervisors, logistics coordinators, and warehouse personnel across the zone
  • Coach local leaders on performance management, labor planning, process control, and employee development
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma: Green belt or higher
