Job description

About Us

WorldKids® School is pioneering a global, immersive approach to early childhood education, serving children from 12 months through Pre K. At our brand new facility in North Raleigh, we believe that early learning should be an inspiring adventure. We are not a traditional daycare; we are a premium early childhood education facility. We uniquely blend The Creative Curriculum® (powered by the Teaching Strategies platform) with full dual language immersion in Spanish and Mandarin, fostering global citizenship, curiosity, and multicultural appreciation as part of our core daily routine.

We believe children learn best through connection, consistency, and meaningful relationships. Our goal is to create a school environment where children feel safe, inspired, celebrated, and deeply known. We are building a high trust, collaborative, and excellence oriented culture where educators are deeply valued, families are true partners, and children are empowered to discover the world. As our Founding Center Director, you will have the unique opportunity to build this community from the ground up, shaping the daily culture, assembling a world class team of founding educators, and launching a flagship early education program.

The Role and Autonomy

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, operationally excellent, and deeply passionate Center Director to lead our new facility. You are not just a manager; you are the operational heart and cultural anchor of our school.

Tasked with launching and leading a flagship campus, this role offers a rare blend of true leadership autonomy paired with robust, back office support. You will focus your expertise where it matters most: cultivating an exceptional staff culture, maintaining pristine state licensing compliance, and fostering an environment where teachers thrive and families feel completely secure.

To ensure you can focus deeply on school culture and educational quality, the Owner Operators handle the heavy lifting outside the classroom:

  • Marketing and Lead Generation: One co owner serves as your dedicated marketing and enrollment partner, driving brand awareness, running social media, and managing top of funnel lead generation to regularly deliver prospective families directly to you for tours and high impact conversations.

  • Facilities and Back Office Operations: The other co owner manages back office systems, facility maintenance, vendor relations, and technology or supply logistics, freeing you from traditional administrative distractions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Launch and Operational Excellence: Support the final licensing preparation and maintain ongoing, flawless compliance with North Carolina childcare regulations. Manage daily operations, scheduling, and staff or family communication systems using ProCare and other operational platforms.

  • Champion WorldKids® Training and Standards: Internalize, model, and champion the proprietary WorldKids corporate training methodologies. Serve as the primary advocate for these global standards, ensuring the center’s staff are fully supported, trained, and aligned with the brand's operational excellence.

  • Educational Leadership and Lesson Planning: Oversee the high fidelity delivery of The Creative Curriculum® built upon the Teaching Strategies platform. Because we operate as a true educational facility, the Director will support and guide teachers to confidently navigate the sophisticated, standards aligned digital lesson planning and assessment tools inherent to this system.

  • Team Leadership and Culture: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high performing founding team of educators, including multilingual, native speaking Spanish and Mandarin immersion teachers. Cultivate a supportive, transparent workplace culture that values diversity, professional growth, mutual respect, and low turnover.

  • Tour Conversion and Family Connection: Partner with ownership's marketing efforts by conducting high impact family tours, building lasting relationships with North Raleigh families, and serving as the visible, trusted face of the school to confidently guide families from curiosity to enrollment.

What You Bring

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Center Director or Assistant Director in a licensed childcare facility. Strong operational familiarity with The Creative Curriculum® and the broader Teaching Strategies digital ecosystem is highly preferred. Experience launching a new center or working within a premier franchise model is a major plus.

  • Curriculum Acumen: Comfort supporting educators through rigorous, standards aligned lesson planning and child assessments. An understanding that early childhood curriculum requires deep intentionality and data driven tracking.

  • Credentials: Must meet all North Carolina DHHS or DCDEE childcare director requirements. NC Child Care Administrator Credential Level III is preferred (or an active, verified path to immediate completion). A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.

  • Tech Savvy: Highly comfortable leveraging modern operational platforms (such as ProCare, IntelliKids, and ADP) to run an efficient, data driven operation.

  • Mindset: An entrepreneurial, self motivated spirit with an executive presence, strong problem solving skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood development. Comfortable leading a multicultural, multilingual staff and confidently articulating the lifelong benefits of early language acquisition and a global curriculum to prospective families. (Note: Fluency in Spanish or Mandarin is a major asset, but not required).

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: A competitive base salary that is commensurate with experience.

  • Performance Based Incentives: Robust milestone bonuses tied directly to enrollment tiers and center capacity growth, allowing you to directly share in the financial success of a successful launch.

  • Comprehensive Onboarding: Dedicated WorldKids training, including extensive online modules and corporate training segments covering proprietary operational and educational compliance to set you up for a flawless launch.

  • Strategic, Supportive Partnership: Direct collaboration with engaged owner operators who absorb facilities management and marketing logistics, empowering you with the autonomy, modern tech tools, and operational backing to truly lead.

  • Perks and Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO), professional development support, and a beautiful, brand new, premium working environment.
