This role will leverage data, analytics, and operational expertise to improve service performance, reduce transportation costs, and support strategic supply chain initiatives across our hub, market, store, and distribution center network.

Job Description Position Summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to support the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of our transportation and fulfillment network. This role will leverage data, analytics, and operational expertise to improve service performance, reduce transportation costs, and support strategic supply chain initiatives across our hub, market, store, and distribution center network.

The successful candidate will partner cross-functionally with Transportation, Supply Chain, Store Operations, IT, and Finance to identify opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive data-driven business decisions that improve network efficiency and customer service.

What You'll Own Transportation Analytics & Optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve transportation cost, service, and productivity.
  • Analyze network performance and develop recommendations supported by data.
  • Build business cases and financial models for optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor key transportation and fulfillment KPIs and investigate performance drivers.
Network Design & Continuous Improvement
  • Support transportation network design and routing strategy initiatives.
  • Evaluate impacts of organizational, market, and operational changes on network performance.
  • Conduct scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network utilization, capacity, and service levels.
Technology & Data Enablement
  • Support transportation systems, routing platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Translate business requirements into system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytical tools that drive actionable insights.
  • Improve data quality, governance, and visibility across transportation operations.
Strategic Project Leadership
  • Lead analytical workstreams supporting company initiatives.
  • Manage project deliverables, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement approved solutions.
  • Support business transformations involving transportation, fulfillment, and supply chain operations.

Qualifications Required

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred
  • Retail supply chain experience.
  • Transportation Management System (TMS), OMS, or WMS experience.
  • Power BI, SQL, or data visualization experience.
  • Experience supporting transportation, network design, routing, or fulfillment operations.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects.
