• Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status and specific needs, ensuring a personalized approach to therapy.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans aligned with each client's goals, adjusting strategies as necessary based on progress and feedback.

• Provide engaging and effective individual therapy sessions to diverse adult clients, utilizing evidence-based techniques and solutions-focused therapy to address challenges and promote resilience.

• Offer crisis intervention as needed, demonstrating immediate responsiveness to client situations that require urgent care.

The Mental Health Therapist will primarily work with adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and more. Our client base is diverse, reflecting the rich cultural tapestry of Silver Spring, Maryland, and its surrounding areas. Emphasizing inclusivity and understanding, therapists are encouraged to approach each session with empathy and cultural competency.

• A valid and current license, such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), is required.

• An advanced degree (master’s or doctoral) in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is necessary.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with fellow team members.

• Candidates must exhibit a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor, facilitating a welcoming environment for clients.

• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively handle case notes and client schedules.

• No documented history of disciplinary actions against your professional license.

• Prior experience in a clinical therapy setting, particularly in outpatient care, is preferred.

• Familiarity with telehealth tools and virtual therapy best practices.

• Experience working with culturally diverse populations and an understanding of culturally specific approaches to therapy.
