About the Job
As the Logistics Support Specialist, you will provide critical administrative support to the Account Management and Carrier Manager teams to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service. This is a team-based role that supports a variety of department processes including order data entry, scheduling, track and tracing loads, and driver pick-up and delivery. Ideal candidates will have strong relationship building, communication, and organization skills. This position is in-office, daily.

Responsibilities:
  • Enter and manage customer load tenders within the company's Transportation Management System (TMS). Communicate customer changes and needs to account management, carrier management, and sales teams
  • Update customer TMS platforms with driver information, arrival and departure times, shipment documentation, and other customer-specific requirements
  • Schedule pickup and delivery appointments via phone and email while ensuring compliance with legal transit and operational requirements
  • Monitor shipment progress and assist with tracking and tracing activities to ensure timely and accurate load status updates
  • Communicate customer requests, shipment changes, and operational updates to Account Management, Carrier Management, and Sales teams
  • Create and maintain customer and location profiles within the TMS, ensuring all contact information and account records remain accurate and current
  • Collect, verify, and communicate shipment status information from carriers, drivers, and internal teams to customers in a timely manner
  • Assist with document management, including proof of delivery, lumper receipts, and other shipment-related paperwork
  • Support management initiatives aimed at improving operational processes, procedures, efficiency, and technology utilization
  • Maintain a professional, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Possesses working knowledge of Office 365 products
  • Prior knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry is preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience with a TMS or CRM is preferred, but not required
  • Strong customer service mindset and commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, that can be used for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to problem solve and determine alternative solutions when necessary, allowing for prompt completion of work
  • Strong attention to detail that can be seen by a high level of accuracy through work
  • Exceptional time management and personal organization abilities
  • Ability to professionally interact and collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment
