Aspirus MedEvac in Wausau, WI is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team!
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the oversite of the Supply and Equipment needs, Medication ordering and distribution, and Vehicle Maintenance program for Aspirus MedEvac. Including but not limited to review and submission of purchase order requests within the Aspirus MedEvac system, tracking and managing equipment for needed biomedical maintenance, inventory and tracking of all medications within DEA and other jurisdictional requirements. Completes and prepares all bills and invoicing for all base locations. Manages and distributes all supplies received from internal distribution and external supply and equipment vendors. Works within the Aspirus system and partners with Aspirus Supply Chain and Value Analysis to ensure that the appropriate supplies and equipment is purchased for use within the Aspirus MedEvac departments. The Logistics Specialist functions as a professional representative of the program and shall support and uphold the mission, vision and goals of Aspirus MedEvac and Aspirus Health at all times.
HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period. Varied shifts.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of emergency patient care standards and outreach EMS practices and procedures normally acquired through completion of an associated EMS training or Registered Nurse programs.
  • Minimum five years' experience working as an EMT, Paramedic, or RN in the EMS environment or working with EMS on a consistent basis.
  • Prior experience in medication stocking, delivery, regulations, inventory tracking, vehicle maintenance requirements and scheduling, invoice and Accounts Payable Processing.
  • Maintains license requirements for license or degree (EMT/Registered Nurse/Paramedic).
  • Possesses an active Michigan EMS license and a Wisconsin RN and/or Wisconsin EMS license.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as conflict resolution skills.
  • Possesses professional appearance and manner.
  • Possesses basic computer skills including the ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other programs as deemed appropriate.

Aspirus MedEvac medical transportation service provides 24-hour emergency air and ground medical transport for critically ill and injured individuals of North Central Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. We are dedicated to providing the highest standard of care and safety to our patients. Aspirus MedEvac operates critical care ground transfer ambulances from Wisconsin ground bases in Weston, Mosinee, Wisconsin Rapids, Medford, Plover, Portage, Rhinelander, Eagle River, Woodruff and Upper Michigan bases in Ontonagon, Iron River and Crystal Falls. In addition to the Critical care Ground Transports, Aspirus MedEvac also provides 911 coverage for Iron County MI, Lincoln County WI, Oneida County WI, Taylor County WI, Vilas County WI, and Watersmeet MI. The ground units are staffed with Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses and EMTs. MedEvac air is staffed with a pilot, a Flight Nurse and a Flight Paramedic and is capable of transporting one patient.
