Job description


SAIC seeks a motivated Logistics Support Specialistfor theGround-Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) contract. GMASS supports the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of five Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR), and one Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS) in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The ground-based radars are critical to US and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness missions. The Logistics Analyst Sr will continually harmonize on-site support activities with the with the other GMASS program teams (e.g., Integrated Product Support, Depot Maintenance, etc.).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support of major systems.
  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services and information between points of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistic processes.
  • Logistics functions encompass maintenance, supply, transportation and logistics plans. Inherently included as logistics tasks are program formulation, policy planning, coordination, inspection, integrated logistics processes, joint planning logistics, acquisition and wholesale logistics, product support, asset visibility, material management and supervision.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with packing, receiving, and shipping equipment for worldwide logistics and supply projects.
  • Demonstrated performance with continuous process improvement to create efficiencies and reduce expenditures.
  • Experience using inventory management systems.

Desired:
  • Experience delivering solutions for national security, mission-critical, no-fail applications.
  • Participates in development of solutions to problems of unusually complex, which require a high degree of ingenuity and innovation.
  • Experience executing logistic support plans, directives, and policies.
  • Quality Control and/or HAZMAT shipping experience.
