This leadership role is responsible for managing crews, coordinating schedules, ensuring outstanding customer service, and driving operational efficiency across the business.

Position Summary

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, including scheduling, workforce management, fleet coordination, customer satisfaction, and team performance. This individual will work closely with ownership and leadership to ensure the branch operates efficiently, safely, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily moving operations, schedules, routes, and crew assignments.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop movers, drivers, and team leaders.
  • Ensure all moves are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.
  • Monitor operational performance, labor utilization, and productivity metrics.
  • Oversee fleet readiness, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless move coordination.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and safety training.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, DOT regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance profitability.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of management experience in moving, logistics, transportation, home services, construction, or related industries.
  • Proven leadership experience managing field employees and multiple crews.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence.
  • Experience with scheduling, workforce planning, and operational reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business management software.
