Job description

Overview
CLAW Logistics is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting and financial operations of a growing, multi-entity logistics company. This role will transition higher-level finance functions in-house from our parent company while maintaining established processes and improving financial visibility.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Prepare consolidated financials and manage month-end close
  • Partner with leadership on profitability, forecasting, and cost control
  • Analyze operational costs (labor, fuel, etc.) and support pricing decisions
  • Maintain internal controls, GAAP compliance, and cash flow management
  • Ensure alignment with corporate standards
  • Lead and develop Accounting Manager; improve processes and reporting
  • Support terminal-level profitability and performance improvement

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance
  • 7-12+ years experience, including leadership
  • Strong in multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and close process
  • Logistics/transportation experience preferred
  • Experience with CMS/Epicor, TMW, and advanced Excel preferred
