Job description

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a ???Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Medicine in Chesapeake, VA. This is a locum position with competitive salary and travel allowance..

Job Details:

  • Start Date: February 7, 2025, with ongoing needs.
  • Reason for Coverage: To support two full-time providers during time off or vacancies.
  • Practice Setting: Occupational Health.
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to close (typically 4:30 PM, but may extend due to walk-in injuries).
  • Average Patients Per Day: 8-10.
  • EMR System: Systoc.
  • Exam Rooms: 5.
  • On-Site Team: Includes RNs, RTs, MAs, LPN, RN Supervisor, Office Manager, and PSRs.

Required Duties:

  • Pre-Employment Physicals.
  • Return-to-Duty Testing.
  • DOT Physicals.
  • Workers' compensation injury care.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $70 - $85 per Hour with Malpractice Insurance
  • Travel Reimbursement:
    • ~$150/night lodging cap.

Requirements:

  • Board Certification: Required.
  • Licensure: Active Virginia license required.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DOT certification required.
