Job description

Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Gear Design Engineer to own the design, analysis, and design-for-manufacturing of high-performance while cost-efficient gear systems for our robotic platforms at substantial scale. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in gear mechanism design-including planetary, harmonic, cycloidal, and custom gear trains-and a proven ability to manage gear vendors (internal & external) and contract design partners. This candidate must combine strong analytical skills with hands-on experience bringing precision gear systems from concept through volume manufacturing, and thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
