Job description

Overview
$20.65 / hour
This position is responsible for all areas of the Knott's Berry Farm property, including lock systems in the Park, Marketplace, Hotel, and Soak City. Tracks and issues Schlage and Medeco keys to Park personnel following proper distribution policies. Performs lock repairs as required. Maintains an accurate account of all lock hardware and replacement inventory. Keeps fire extinguishers up to date throughout the Property, and sends out those that need servicing. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Issue out keys through properly approved work orders. Replace, Repair, and/or Maintain all locks and keys in the Park.
  • Maintains accurate information on key cards and computer program for accounting of keys' distribution.
  • Maintains integrity of Medeco and Schlage key systems by maintaining accurate files of all keys issued to Team Members.
  • Maintains sufficient inventory (within budget) of key blanks, necessary tools, and replacement locks and lock parts.
  • Creates and maintains Master Key system. Changes locks and/or keys as necessary. Changes combinations to Park safes as required.
  • Maintains all Knott's Berry Farm fire extinguishers, controls fire extinguisher inventory, and sends out those units in need of servicing.
  • Assists Security Operations at the Main Gate, or other points of entry, as required. Responsible for control of Associate Parking pass controls.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma / GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • BSIS Guard Card required.
  • Locksmithing Certification required.
  • At least 2-4 years in a locksmith/key specialist required.
  • At leas 2-4 years security related experience required.
  • Previous Video Camera mounting and operation preferred.
