Job description

Coho Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Locksmith to support installation, repair, maintenance, and security operations at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, CA. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in mechanical and electronic locking systems and maintain strict key control and security standards.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Install, repair, maintain, and replace mechanical and electronic locking devices.
  • Rekey locks, replace door hardware, and service safe locking mechanisms.
  • Install and maintain access control systems, combination locks, and electro-mechanical locks.
  • Create original, duplicate, and master keys using locksmith tools and key-cutting equipment.
  • Diagnose lock malfunctions and repair or fabricate replacement components when necessary.
  • Extract broken keys and open locks when keys or combinations are unavailable.
  • Develop and maintain key control systems and pinning charts.
  • Conduct inspections and assist with investigations involving tampered locking devices.
  • Maintain accurate records of keys, locks, and security equipment.
  • Support locksmith operations aboard facilities and other assigned locations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures at all times.

Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and Certifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Locksmith certification preferred
  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of locksmith experience in commercial, industrial, or government environments preferred
    • Experience with electronic access control systems highly desirable
