Job description

Complete Security, Inc. is a commercial locksmith shop located in the San Francisco financial district. We specialize in master key systems, install electronic locking systems and make furniture keys. Our locksmiths are skilled tradesmen, focused on commercial work. We are committed to quality and excellence. The shop’s core hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm.

Some of our benefits include:

Job Description

The function of this position is to furnish, install, repair and troubleshoot mechanical locks and hardware. Will be required to continuously increase working knowledge or industry standards and general security products. Continuously develop required skills to install and troubleshoot door hardware. A successful candidate for this position must be able to demonstrate an entry level mechanical and electronic knowledge base and can independently perform routine tasks.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Certificates/Licenses

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Locksmith license required
  • Valid California driver’s license. May be assigned a company vehicle. If so, will be required to keep it clean and participate in the on-call program.
  • Meets insurance underwriting requirements
  • Must have at least 2 years locksmith and/or access control and door hardware industry experience to be considered.

Qualifications

  • Key machine use and adjustment
  • General geographical knowledge of San Francisco
  • General knowledge of the CA State codes relating to fire exits and door hardware
  • Understand Primus high security key systems
  • Understand panic hardware and exit door hardware
  • Ability to install, repair, re-key and maintain commercial hardware
  • Ability to install, repair and maintain access control hardware
  • Ability to modify lock hardware
  • Ability to create and maintain master key systems
  • Maintain and repair various brands of locks and cylinders including Schlage, Primus, Everest, Medeco and IC cylinders
  • Installation and repair of locksets, exit devices and door closers
  • Use features of applicable access control systems
  • Read, interpret and work from shop blueprints, plans, drawings and specifications
  • Maintain computerized inventory and master locking systems records
