Job description


Paul’s Safe & Lock has proudly served the Roseville community for over 50 years. As a family-owned and operated company, we pride ourselves on quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and building lasting relationships. We’re expanding our team and looking for dependable locksmiths (experienced or motivated beginners) who are ready to grow with us full-time or part-time.


If you’re attentive, motivated, and committed to mastering the trade including exciting work like automotive car key programming we’d love to hear from you!


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith services, including programming automotive car keys (transponder keys, key fobs, etc.)
  • Install, repair, and maintain door hardware (closers, panic bars, levers, mortise locks, keypad locks, rim cylinders, and more)
  • Handle retail sales, inventory control, and merchandising at our shop
  • Respond to onsite and mobile jobs with professionalism and efficiency
  • Work in a mix of shop and field environments across Roseville and surrounding areas

Schedule Options:

  • Full-time: Monday–Friday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), ~35–40 hours/week. Weekends off. Overtime as needed.
  • Part-time: Flexible hours based on your availability and business needs (minimum 20 hours/week preferred). Great option for those seeking work-life balance!

Location: Start at our shop (199 Cirby Way, Suite #15, Roseville, CA) and travel to customer sites.


Who We’re Looking For:

Experienced Candidates:

  • Minimum 2 years of locksmithing or commercial door hardware experience

Apprentices / Entry-Level:

  • No prior experience required as we welcome candidates with a strong willingness to learn the trade and a desire to master skills like automotive key programming

Requirements (All Candidates):

  • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Locksmith License or C-28 Contractor License (preferred for experienced hires or willingness to obtain)
  • Willingness to undergo criminal background check, driving record review, and drug screening (for client safety and security)
