Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative, analytical, and highly motivated Marketing Specialist to join our
growing cannabis team. This role will be responsible for executing and optimizing
marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, SEO growth, and
revenue across retail and wholesale channels.
The ideal candidate has experience in cannabis, alcohol, or consumer packaged goods
(CPG), understands digital trends and compliance considerations within regulated
industries, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position reports
directly to the Director of Wholesale & Marketing and plays a key role in shaping the
brand's digital presence, community engagement, and overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Marketing, SEO & Campaign Management
  • Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns across email, social media, sales, and web platforms
  • Support the development of integrated marketing strategies for product launches, promotions, and brand initiatives
  • Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize engagement, traffic, and ROI
  • Implement and manage SEO strategies including keyword research, on-page optimization, blog optimization, metadata updates, and content structuring to improve organic search visibility
  • Monitor website performance and search rankings using analytics and SEO tools to identify growth opportunities
Social Media Management & Content Creation
  • Manage and maintain social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, and emerging platforms
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content aligned with brand voice and compliance standards
  • Engage directly with online communities by responding to comments, DMs, reviews, and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Build relationships with consumers, creators, influencers, and local cannabis communities to strengthen brand loyalty and awareness
  • Track trends, audience insights, and competitor activity to support growth opportunities and cultural relevance
  • Develop compelling digital content including graphics, photography, short-form video, blogs, email copy, SEO-driven web content, and promotional materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to produce high-quality branded assets
  • Maintain consistent visual identity and messaging across all platforms
Email Marketing & CRM
  • Build and manage email marketing campaigns and customer communication flows
  • Segment audiences and maintain customer databases for targeted outreach

Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and report on website traffic, SEO performance, social engagement, campaign performance, and digital KPIs

  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports for leadership
Event & Community Coordination
  • Support community outreach initiatives, events, pop-ups, and brand activations
  • Represent the brand professionally at industry events, networking opportunities, and community engagements as needed
  • Assist in developing partnerships that strengthen local market presence and consumer connection
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • 1-3 years of digital marketing experience in cannabis, alcohol, CPG, or related industries
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, SEO, email marketing, community management, and digital advertising
  • Experience with marketing and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics,
  • Google Search Console, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferred

  • Must be able to work on-site full-time
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the cannabis industry where applicable
