Position Summary:
The Loading Dock Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing all inbound and outbound deliveries for the venue. This role ensures equipment, merchandise, production materials, food and beverage supplies, artist shipments, and vendor deliveries are received, documented, stored, and distributed accurately and efficiently. Working closely with production, operations, food & beverage, merchandise, security, and facility teams, this position plays a vital role in supporting concerts, special events, and daily venue operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and document all incoming deliveries and shipments.
• Coordinate outbound shipments, returns, and freight pickups.
• Verify packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
• Organize and maintain the loading dock, storage rooms, and receiving areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, tour personnel, and internal departments regarding deliveries and scheduling.
• Assist touring productions with loading and unloading equipment as directed.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely (if certified).
• Track inventory movement and maintain accurate receiving and shipping records.
• Ensure merchandise, catering supplies, production equipment, and venue assets are delivered to the appropriate departments.
• Monitor dock schedules to minimize congestion during event load-ins and load-outs.
• Follow venue safety procedures and OSHA guidelines for material handling and dock operations.
• Report damaged shipments, inventory discrepancies, and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with general warehouse organization and inventory counts.
• Support event operations as needed during concerts, festivals, and special events.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or live event production preferred.
• Experience in a concert venue, arena, theater, convention center, or hospitality environment is a plus.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to work around moving equipment and loading dock traffic.
• Ability to climb stairs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and late nights.
• Availability to support concert load-ins, performances, and overnight load-outs as required.

Working Environment:
This position works in an active live entertainment environment where priorities can change quickly based on event schedules. The role regularly interacts with touring personnel, production crews, vendors, venue staff, and delivery services while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient loading dock operation.
Job Functions:
• Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises.
• May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required
• Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred. Guard Card a plus.
• Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance; ability to make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.

• Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
• A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting
