Job description

Overview

Job Summary

The Palletizer is responsible for efficiently and accurately stacking products or materials onto pallets in preparation for shipping or storage. This role ensures that products are properly arranged, secured, and labeled, contributing to effective inventory management and safe transportation.

  • Complete a daily inspection report of the pallet jack at the start of each shift. Report any deficiencies that would not allow safe use of the pallet jack immediately to the shipping supervisor.
  • Order pickers will report to the load controller to receive load pick tickets.
  • Order pickers will work with the high lift drivers to drop product required based on the pick ticket.
  • Order pickers will be required to hand stack boxes, separate products by date if required by the customer and wrap pallets with a pallet wrapper or wrap pallets by hand.
  • Order pickers will be required to check product code dates to ensure the oldest product is being picked or dates are being picked that adhere to the customer date restrictions.
  • Order pickers will move the product to the dock and work with the loader when needed.
  • Order pickers will be using scan guns to build pallet tags, complete pallet inquiries, ship orders, transfer products to various warehouses and complete customer returns.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work in a humid, cold, wet or slippery surface at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (P.P.E)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience/knowledge of manufacturing environment
  • Previous knife experience in manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Be attentive to detail
  • Ability to work safely, wear P.P.E, and follow instructions
  • Ability to attend work consistently
  • Display strong work ethic

Summary

America's Heartland Packing is set to open its doors in early 2025. The 775,000 sq. ft. greenfield project will include a harvest floor, carcass chillers, fabrication area, rendering, further processing area, storage coolers, freezers, and loading docks.
