About Us:
The Caturus platform was founded by Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, with subsequent additional investment by Mubadala Energy. Caturus is building an independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 Mtpa LNG export terminal in southwestern Louisiana. Together, they will provide low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.
Job Description
Caturus is seeking an experienced Contracts professional to support a major LNG development project. This role provides leadership and oversight of contract development, negotiation, and administration across the full project lifecycle. The Manager, Construction Contracts is responsible for ensuring effective commercial execution of EPC/EPCM/DB contracts, aligning with project objectives, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Management, review, and administration of EPC, EPCM, and DB contracts for large-scale project scopes
  • Support contract strategy, scope definition, and commercial structuring to align with project objectives
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and company policies
  • Manage and mentor contract management resources supporting project activities
  • Support negotiation of major commercial agreements, including pricing structures such as GMP and other contract frameworks
  • Support complex negotiations and resolution of commercial and contractual issues
  • Manage commercial aspects of project delivery, including cost control, financial exposure, and risk mitigation
  • Evaluate and support contract changes, variations, and claims, including assessment of entitlement
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support development of commercial positions related to disputes and contract interpretation
  • Act as a primary liaison between internal project teams and external counterparties
  • Collaborate with Legal, Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, and Construction teams to ensure alignment
  • Maintain accurate and complete contract records, documentation, and correspondence
  • Provide regular reporting on contract status, risks, and key commercial issues
  • Adapt to evolving project priorities and support dynamic execution needs
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, protecting personnel, assets, and the public

Qualifications
Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or a related construction field required
Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience with Contracts
  • LNG experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Significant direct, on site, construction contract administration experience.
  • Good working knowledge and experience in administration of large EPC contracts.
  • Familiarity with applicable legal and contract terminology, conditions and governmental regulations related to petrochemical construction in Louisiana and the United States.
  • Experience with complex negotiations and multidiscipline issue resolution.
  • Ability to handle complex and highly confidential matters in a professional manner.
  • Problem solving with ability to recognize issues and deal with them directly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team setting supporting multiple customers in a variety of environments and to interact effectively with counterparts from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent organization skills and work ethic.
  • Sense of initiative with desire to become truly involved in the business.
  • Personable, positive and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with team and all levels of management and employees.
