Ren Energy helps the worldโ€™s most climate-conscious companies transition their suppliers to renewable energy at scale in the most complex marketsโ€”specializing in APAC. From emissions tracking and verification to on-the-ground supplier engagement to PPA negotiation with local developers, Ren serves as the transaction layer for corporate supply chain renewable energy deals. This helps turn climate goals into signed contracts, new local projects, and real scope 3 impact.

We are passionate about renewables, sustainability, our clients, and our people. Our team is a diverse and fiercely optimistic group of individuals who are highly motivated to invest in our planetโ€™s future and lead the transition to clean energy for all. Join us.

Position Overview:

Ren Energy is seeking a results-driven International Renewable Energy Director to help us deliver on a growing pipeline of strategic deals and customer opportunities. Reporting to the COO, this role will focus on customer engagement and solution delivery, helping our clients navigate the renewable energy landscape and meet their decarbonization goals.

This individual will be an experienced, hands-on leader who can operate across strategy, relationship management, and solution executionโ€”particularly for key enterprise customers. With an agile work environment and dynamic customer demands, adaptability and initiative will be key.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary customer-facing lead for renewable energy engagements across strategic accounts
  • Translate customer decarbonization goals into actionable strategies and scalable projects aligned with Renโ€™s capabilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic partnerships and joint venture opportunities to expand customer access to renewable energy solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, project developers, and key external stakeholders
  • Support deal structuring, procurement, and execution efforts to help customers access renewable energy at scale
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure successful solution delivery and alignment with market needs
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, emerging markets, and regulatory developments to inform strategy and provide expert guidance internally and externally
  • Drive operational efficiency and apply best practices in project management, procurement, and supply chain to reduce costs and improve outcomes for customers
  • Contribute to Renโ€™s knowledge base and continuously improve our approach based on customer feedback and evolving market conditions
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business administration, environmental science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in renewable energy, sustainability, consulting, or energy procurement
  • Proven success in developing and implementing strategic initiatives that drive business growth
  • Experience building and leading teams and managing budgets
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development, and international markets and regulatory environments
  • Deep expertise in corporate ESG strategy and execution, particularly within large organizations and global supply chains
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments and supply chain operations, with the ability to influence renewable energy procurement decisions at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to engage directly with enterprise customers and translate their goals into actionable, impactful solutions
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and project management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for action and a passion for sustainability and positive environmental impact
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and work scopes
